Science Week 2019

Equipment:

In year 5, children are allowed to bring one suitable sized pencil case into school and can store it in their tray, or on their desk. I will be supplying, pencils, rubbers, whiteboards, whiteboard pens and rulers to all children. The children will create labels for their equipment to ensure it does not get lost.

I will be taking away all pen licences and awarding them when your child has shown they are able to take time and care when writing.

Your child will need to bring in a water bottle, this will be labelled and left within the classroom and taken home after school.

Please ensure that your child is also sent to school with the appropriate clothing, this includes, but is not limited to; a coat, jumper, hat, scarf, gloves.

General Reminders:

  • Our homework and spellings will go out on Thursdays and need to be returned on a Tuesday. Everything should be completed! Spelling tests will usually be on Wednesdays.
  • PE day is Wednesday, please make sure your kit is in school on this day.
  • Make sure you keep your reading record updated and bring it to school every morning - remember that reading does not count unless signed by an adult. You are expected to read a minimum of three times a week.
  • Please make sure you have read the uniform/P.E kit policies (available under 'Key Information') to make sure you are wearing the correct uniform and P.E kit.
  • As the weather is getting hotter, please make sure your child has water to drink throughout the day. Suncream and a hat is also advised for breaks and lunchtimes.
