Homework will be set on a Thursday each week and is due by Tuesday the following week. Work can be emailed to me as a file attachment or a picture can be taken of the work and emailed to me as a picture if easier. For those children struggling with this, the homework can be brought in but we are trying to minimise home to school contact where possible. Thank you for your understanding during this time.
Homework to be emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Each week, new spellings will be taught and set for homework. Below you will find a weekly break down of the spellings taught in class. I would recommend the 'Look, cover and write' approach with children until they can write and spell the word without looking at it.
We are currently looking at Place Value so please find attached a booklet you can do at home.
So far this term we have been recapping grammar as so many of us are out of practice. Therefore, one of the areas we are looking at is using commas in a list. Please find below an interactive teaching PowerPoint and some activities.
Homework: Thursday 24th September 2020
After finding some parents and children are having difficulty accessing homework via the online platform we have sent home a homework folder this week. Work is still due Tuesday as normal.
We have set the following activities:
Maths: activity on place value
English: co-ordinating conjunctions activity
Spellings: these are found on the class page as normal
Topic: To create a informative poster on Stone Age houses and food.
