Remote learning:

Each day (before 9 a.m.) I will put a Maths and an English piece of work on the class page.

When your child completes the work you can either take a picture of it or scan the work and send it to my school email address of stella.springate@st-teresas.kent.sch.uk (the email on the webpage does not allow attachments).  I will attempt to mark them all but sometimes I will be at school so please bear with me on this.  Otherwise, on Friday each week (or the end of the school week) I will post the answers to any questions that need answers and you can mark their work or they can self mark.

Please keep reading and practising times tables regularly.  Keep a note, in your reading record book, on what has been read.

If you have any worries or concerns about anything please email me and I will attempt to answer your questions.

Year Four Multiplication Tables Check: information video

Did you know that all year four children have to sit a statutory multiplication test. This test is carried out online and tests their understanding of timestables to 12. Children have only 6 seconds to answer each question.

Questions to support children's comprehension

Year 3/4 Spelling words

Year 3/4 Spelling words 1

The Yr3/4 spellings words include all of the words that the children should be able to spell, by the end of year 4. The children will be assessed on these words, at the end of this year.

SPaG- Spelling, Punctation and Grammar

SPaG is an important part of the KS2 curriculum, which supports children in their English work. Some of the terminology that we learn in SPaG can be quite tricky with new vocabulary being introduced all the time.

Here is a helpful glossary of grammar terms, with all of the terminology that children should know by the end of KS2. Some of this you will obviously already know, but some of it does get rather technical, so please do not worry about asking for further clarification.
