The central purpose of the Specialist Teaching and Learning Service is to promote the successful inclusion and progress of children and young people with SEND to achieve their personal best, working in partnership with schools, parents and other agencies.

 

The Specialist Teaching Service offers support to schools in meeting the needs of pupils who are experiencing a greater difficulty than their peers in accessing the Early Years and National Curriculum. These difficulties may be of a long or short term nature and could involve mental health needs, learning, sensory, language or physical difficulties.
