The Avilites

The Avilites

Each year, a number of pupils in Year 6 volunteer to become Avilites. They are commissioned by Father Alfred at the start of the school year at a special ceremony held on the Feast of St Teresa of Avila. At this ceremony, they each undertake to serve as role models for the Catholic life of the school.

Their service takes many forms, for example, they act as readers and servers at mass, both in school and in our parish.  They assist other classes with their masses. Weekly during Advent and Lent, they prepare and present their own reflections to the whole school.

Above all, they strive always to set a good example to their fellow pupils in the way that they behave and interact with others. These are our Avilites for 2023/2024.
