Learning Showcase
The Zebras had a very busy term.
We celebrated World Book Day by all taking part in a vocabulary parade. Each child had to dress up as a different word - we all enjoyed seeing every child's creativity!
We also celebrated Science Day, we took part in an experiment with the rest of KCSP. We enjoyed looking at how long different biscuits held their shape in water - we found it very interesting!
In English, we looked at different Greek monsters from Greek myths. We then took this information, along with our own imagination, to create our own Greek monsters. We then wrote a non-chronological report about these monsters. After this we enjoyed writing an adventure tale that included these monsters.
In Maths, we looked at fractions, decimals, percentages, perimeter and area. The class particularly enjoyed going outside and working out the perimeter and area of our playground!
In RE this term our topic was ‘Reconciliation’ and we delved deeper into the significance of Jesus sacrificing himself on the cross. We then applied this knowledge through our incredible Easter performance.
In History we have been looking at WWII and its significance. Most recently we have been looking at artefacts to gather information on what life was like as an evacuee.
As mentioned above, the Easter performance a huge highlight of last term - we are so proud of each and every member of the Zebra class!
