'Drop off' and 'Pick Up' arrangements

For the safety of the children during drop off and pick up times, the school gates are closed between 8.15am and 4pm, meaning there is no on-site parking during these times.

Schools are very busy at the end of the day. YR are collected from their classroom at 3.15pm and we ensure that each child is collected by a known adult. All other classes are collected from their designated gate.

Children in Y5 - Y6 may go home unaccompanied if the parent has agreed this with the school. You will need to fill in a permission slip, available from the school office to show your consent for this.

If someone other than the regular person is collecting the child, the school needs to be informed beforehand. At home time, we ask parents/ carers to be punctual as children worry and fret if they have to wait to be collected.  When a parent is delayed we will keep the child in the classroom for a short time.  It is important that we know about any delay.  If your child is not collected by 3.45pm, we reserve the right to place them in Night Owls After school club to ensure they are properly supervised.  The full fee for Night Owls will be payable by parents.

Parking

We request all parents park with consideration for pedestrians and neighbours. Please ensure you are not blocking a drive or obstructing children who need to cross the road.  If you have a disabled badge, please show it to the office staff.  You will then be able to press the buzzer and gain entry during times that the gate is closed.

When parking in the car park or near the school can we please ask parents to switch off their car engines.  Our Eco-Warriors Team are increasingly concerned about engine idling and we appreciate your support with this.

The clergy at St.Teresa’s church welcome our parents using the church car park for the school run.  This gives your child a healthy 10 mins walk each way, each day.
