Term 2
Hinduism Day - Friday 8th November 2024
On Friday 8th November, we spent a whole day learning about the Hindu religion. We spent time in the morning learning all about how Hindu's believe the world was created. After break, we were very appreciative to have some of our families come into the class and talk about Hinduism and how they celebrate Diwali. We have 4 children in the Orcas class who are Hindu, so it was lovely to give them the opportunity to share about their home life as a Hindu.
Foundation and KS1 Nativity
On Friday 13th December, EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 performed their nativity to family and friends. Here are some photos of them all dressed up an ready to perform!
What a busy term!
We have been very busy this term. Our outdoor classroom transformed over half term so we have spent time planting, building, drawing and even cooking!
We have conducted some our first science experiments to explore materials, we have explored how to create shapes using a mouse on a computer, we have discovered how to draw a map from a birds eye view, we explored how to move our body to a beat, and even posted a very important letter to the big bad wolf!
As we read "The jolly Christmas postman", our home corner transformed to a post office so we became very busy writing Christmas cards, wrapping presents and becoming a shop keeper. Have a look at some of the photos showcasing our learning in Autumn 2 term.
